1. It's history repeating itself
His poppy's regime lied about the death toll after Hurricane Andrew as well. The official story is that only around 26 people died. Unfortunately, they didn't count the hundreds and hundreds of "guest workers" who perished.

I have friends who saw the body bags stacked up at the Opa Locka airport in North Miami. FYI, that's the same little airport used by the CIA during the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

God only knows where they ditched the bodies of those poor souls.

2. Well put.
The cavalier attitude taken by the authorities toward the thousands of missing is absolutely appalling.

If folks are missing, it's as if they are expected to declare themselves dead.

What percent truly decided to go underground?

The 'living with relatives' line is just too convenient.

3. Thank you, on behalf of all the nameless lost ones.
The toll among those terribly poor people was steep and as you say, the Hog Haley and his sty mates in crime could absolutely care less about their fate. Barbour is the very embodiment of old line white plantation Southern segregationist politics, with a strong dose of the current RNC thrown in being as he presided over the launch of this current nasty iteration of the GOP.

I do know that I am not as good of a man as Dr. King-I have hatred in my heart. The question is; how can people be so devoid of basic human decency?
