If you ever find any sort of shenanigans of any sort, even the most mundane, please report it (and pm me please, so I can look into it too.) I am very worried about what might happen this year, these people are up against a wall and may pull the dirtiest of dirty tricks. There is a lot of time between now and the elections, but the next few months will be the time they start pulling the tricks.

5. taking back either house of congress is still quite a challenge

despite the TERRIBLE numbers that shrub and the banana republicans are polling, elections are mostly rigged. the vast majority of congressional districts are gerrymandered like crazy, and much of the rest, including much of the senate, is safe (only 1/3 of the senate is on the ballot to begin with, and a good chunk of that is safe).

with fair elections and districting, democrats should EASILY have a substantial majority in the house come january 2007, but we'll still need some luck just to get a bare majority.

we cannot get overconfident, we still have much work to do.

6. I expect everything from another well timed "terrorist attack" to.........

.....stolen/switched ballots, broken or unmanned poling places, "disqualified" voters, and possibly even troops in the streets. I fully expect them to invent a few few things between now and November of 08, just to throw everyone off. There is absolutely nothing the neocons/fundies wouldn't stoop to considering how badly they are dropping in the polls.

8. The smears and swift-boaters

have already started out against California Dem congressional candidate Busby who is running for Duke Cunningham's vacant seat. A few week ago, her opponent's political ad tried to associate her with another teacher involved with child pornography.....but it's backfiring because Busby IMMEDIATLEY fired back in public. I believe it's so important that somehow, someway the entire Demoratic Party and it's candidates do the same as Busby did because Russert, Blitzer, Matthews and the rest of the MSM and cable news will not report the facts, only the allegations, while the ass 'Lican rats on tv and radio will do all they can to give the lies credence and creditability. That's what happens when you corner a rat.

I bet a lot more people vote Dem in 2006...I just hope our votes get counted accurately.

11. And also be on the lookout for some big distraction

prior to the November mid-term elections. It may be another domestic terror attack (genuine or stage-managed). Could be invading Iran (if that isn't done in June). Their goal will be to try and make people rally around Bush and the status quo and you'll be accused of being unpatriotic, un-American or a traitor if you don't. CNNMSNBCFOX will go into even higher ape-shit overdrive whoring for Bush and the neocons. Hannity, Limbaugh, Malkin, O'Reilly, Coulter, Matthews, Russert and pals will be foaming at the mouth.
