Liberals want tax cuts for the poor so they can buy more crack (Says boss)

This was actually used in a discussion between co-workers. A friend of mine called me yesterday all riled up. She is the only Dem in an office full of Repukes. She normally avoids politics with them because she needs her job to provide for her children (she's a single mom).

They were celebrating someone's birthday, and as they sat around the table, one of the guys asked her what that "America Stands With Cindy" pin hanging from the rear view mirror of her car means. She told them that it was in support of Cindy Sheehan. (She and I spent a day in Crawford at Camp Casey 2 last summer.) The repuke's reply was "Oh, isn't that the poor woman that was manipulated by the liberals for political gain?" Her reply was, "No, she was the woman who lost her son in Iraq and wanted the President to tell her why he died."

This apparently spawned a variety of things getting thrown out there that are not normally discussed around the bosses. They were quite certain that the left opposed the recent tax cuts because they don't help the poor, and the poor need the tax cuts to buy more crack.

Throw the middle class into the Republican talking points next time. Republicans are shitting on the middle class, just as much as poor, and the recent tax cuts will do nothing for the middle class (majority of them anyway). By properly including the middle class into their talking points, they must face the fact that they are getting screwed, just like the poor. At least they will force it into the back of their minds, until they can no longer rationalize destroying themselves any longer, when push comes to shove, just so the upper class can benefit.
