DNA Tests Show Executed Man Was Guilty
RICHMOND, Va. -- New DNA tests confirmed the guilt of a man who went to his death in Virginia's electric chair in 1992 proclaiming his innocence, Gov. Mark R. Warner said Thursday.

The case had been closely watched by both sides in the death penalty debate because no executed convict in the United States has ever been exonerated by scientific testing.

The tests, ordered by the governor last month, prove Roger Keith Coleman was guilty of the 1981 rape and murder of his sister-in-law, Warner said.

When the first DNA tests shows that someone was innocent, the shit is really going to hit the fan.

Spread it far and wide Warner. The death penalty is flawed and nothing more than legal murder and should be illegal. I'm glad they got it right with this one but they need to get rid of it. It makes me sick when people claim to be pro-life and than turn around and are for the death penalty. Oy!
