Yeppers, that old Tim really gave it to her. LOL. I was thinking the whole time, where was the Tim from a couple of weeks ago with Nancy Pelosi. He never let her get a word in edgewise.
Welcome to DU. Like your sense of humor.

8. I'm sorry, but that's not how I saw it. |

She pretty much filibuster every single answer, with double talk and mis-direction. Only a couple of times did Russert try to pin her down or get her to answer a question directly, and each time she out manuvered him. He was a wimp as usual today with the administration spokesperson.

11. In typical Russert fashion, he ASKED some tough questions... |
|
but DIDN'T push for answers. He let her dance around the answers, like he always does. I hate that.

5. Russert finally grilled a Republican?? |
|
The ghost of employers past (i.e. Pat Moynihan) must have paid him a visit during the night. I can't think of much else that would have brought on such a change of tactic (except maybe a weather report telling him which way the wind was blowing........)

He is worried about the American children who are suffering because of immigrant children taking up our services. I never heard a Repuk worry about children suffering. What is their world coming to? :sarcasm:

9. A funny, though not meant to be, line from Cooki Roberts on This Week |
|
She said that President Bush really needs to play up any positive news out of Iraq, like this democratically elected government forming this week"
I had to laugh since that is exactly what the Media has been lapping up the past year and a half... "NOW REPORTING A TURNING POINT IN IRAQ"......"HERE WE ARE AND NOW A TURNING POINT IN IRAQ..."
How many "Turning points" have there been. And even this morning no discussion on how and why we were suppose to be there just how can Mr. Bush "Look" better and get better poll ratings. Then out of the blue George Will says "Never Mind there already in a Civil War and we are there to provide security, it does not matter what government there is in the Green zone"....
That was not funny that Mr. Will just came out and said what we all know but our Administration continues to lie about.
But Cooki saying that He (Bush) needs to emphasize the positive out of Iraq was funny since thats all we get from this administration. I don't think Cooki is a very inquisitive reporter she just takes what she is given, sad.
