Truly awful days are coming, all the signs point to it. Be afraid, cause the plan will go on, no matter how much we protest and complain. We are being set up like bowling pins, all of us, the world over.

It's all about to collapse, but you'd never know it by looking around you. It all looks normal on the surface, but the economy is floundering, the war is expanding, the PNAC plan must not be interrupted. I agree with a lot of what you say, including the PNAC plan not being interupted. But I do think we're going to see someone good in the WH in '08.

I'm as apocalyptic as anyone, but the signs of a coming rebound are all around us. The poll numbers. The protests. The election-fraud stories. The Republican unravelling on immigration.

And so much more, if we're not blind to it.

....headed for a major fall that will take with it our economy, our environment, our way of life, and everything we now accept as "normal". I hear this same sentiment from people of all walks of life and of all religions. No one seems to know exactly what to expect but they indeed expect something major.

I don't even want to speculate for fear my speculation will become reality but I do think the fall will leave a few mouths hitting the floor.

8. Here's a bit of upbeat news for you: American Idol featured

a hybrid car ad last week, according to Laurie David, global warming super-activist and a producer of An Inconvenient Truth.

Laurie told Bobby Kennedy, during his Ring of Fire show on Air America Radio, it was fantastic for all the young people watching that show, "the next generation of drivers," to see the first ever hybrid car ad on American Idol. She said they used to show Hummer ads.

Don't despair! There are enough of us to lead you through, even if the sky does fall.

"The Long Emergency: Surviving the Converging Catastrophes of the Twenty-First Century" predicts a peak oil driven collapse. While a bit Malthusian - the book has some valid points. (I am a cornucopialist techno-geek, so I think we can avoid the worst of Kunstler's apocalypse - maybe - but not with the Bush-Cheney-Rove crowd).

13. I don't think you are off base

I tend to subscribe to a belief (not Christian Armageddon) that we as a great nation will fall, as we know it, and there will be a period of great turmoil across the planet. War, famine, disease, natural disaster in what I call are the "earth changes".

Human kind is about to be tested on how we are going to survive our technological adolescence.
