5. I'm sorry. Any non-rich person that votes Republican is just plain stupid |
|
Why beat around the bush? Whether or not it's their fault, that's another discussion. But the fact remains that their is a mental deficiency that the Republican Party taps into very nicely. If that deficiency didn't exist, then the Republican party wouldn't exist.
Now the question remains... how much time and energy does the Democratic Party devote to trying to persuade such deficient people?
I say, "Screw them", because they'll never vote Democrat anyway. Let's get the folks that are non-political or the new voters.
Have you talked to a Bush/Republican voter lately? Christ, they are stupid or completely willfully ignorant.
Don't waste your time. They aren't worth it.
Ok, now I feel better myself.

There were so many people who could have voted and didn't because no one talked to them. We ought to take a sharp zig away from the repuke reactionary platform we've been using and address the millions of nonvoters. Something a little more populist, that would really help out the bulk of the populace, real reform, take from the rich and corporations, and give it back to Americans. Call off all our wars, get the hell out of Iraq, help fix what we've broke there, then call off all these idiotic drug wars. End the war on poverty, kick it's ass and do it, universal health care, education, there are so many issues that need to be voiced to attract the non voter, with their weight we would crush the reptiles voting machines or not. Why nobody talks about this is beyond me, a return to common sense, that's all it calls for.

Those two categories seem to encompass all Republicans. If you support Republicans, you either do it for the money, or do it because you're too ignorant to know better. I guess there's a spectrum for ignorance, with some gladly boasting that they are small-minded and bigoted, while others are more naive and just grew up around that, and had that type of thinking ingrained in them. But either way, it's still ignorance in my mind.

Heck, while we're at it, there are some ignorant Democrats as well :)
It's just from all I've seen of Republicans, they pretty much fall into one of those categories.
You can be rich or ignorant without being a Republican, but chances are if you are a Republican, you're either rich or ignorant :)

My republican friends who voted for Bush aren't idiots. They are smart people who just bought into the lies. I feel bad for them. I don't feel bad enough not to tell them I Told You So though.

I don't get those idiots. 9/11 happened on BUSH'S WATCH. He was cutting down (!)*)!*$)(! brush in Crawford the month before. He ignored the warnings that said Al-Qaeda was determined to strike the US, and would possibly use hijacked airliners as weapons. The "chatter" that they picked up from some of the hijackers the day before 9/11, it wasn't deciphered until after everything happened.
That's a colossal, multi-layered fucking failure.
He hasn't made this country safe, he let Al-Qaeda almost flawlessly pull off an attack that had been in the planning stages for years, and now we're in another ebb state where they are probably planning their next big attack, while they gleefully launch daily, lesser attacks on people in Iraq.
Bush didn't do a damn thing to stop their first large-scale attack, it almost went off without a hitch. To think that he is capable of protecting us is foolish.

I think the vast majority are just lazy and ignorant. Why is it that the rivers of ignorance can run so freely in this country, unimpeded, yet enlightenment runs through small brooks seemingly going uphill?
It does take a lot of work to find out the truth, to find true perspective of what is going on now that the media is just a lapdog of the fascist elite running our country. It takes real work, a real commitment to know what is really going on, and I think a lot of Bush voters, those who actually do not benefit from what he is doing, are just lazy asses wanting others to make their decisions for them. Well they got what they asked for, the Decider!
