FOX News should be reprimanded severly
Last night before going to bed while channel surfing, I caught a FOX News commentary on Al Gore. The FOX News correspondents called him names and laughed at him openly on television. This is ridiculous. They have become too bold. Could you imagine Bob Woodward making fun of Bush and Cheney, calling Bush illiterate, etc.?

This is simply wrong.

too afraid. It's easier to just glide along, making no waves. The minute they speak up, they're afraid the likes of o'liely and company will come after them. They need to take a lesson or two from Kith Olberman and just stand up and do their fucking jobs.

I went to J-School. Our profs told us, back in the mid 90's, that if we wanted to do real reporting, we need to work for a foreign press here in America or head on over seas. Many in my class did just that.

3. It's Totally Wrong. But Also Totally Allowable.
Keith Olbermann for example has mocked shrubby many times. I enjoy it wholeheartedly when he does. It's one of the reasons I tune into his show. He has a tone, presence and perception that suits my taste.

Faux is just doing the same things for their viewers. Since freedom of speech still is the rule, they have every right to do so. As much as I have every right to double tap my remote control quickly whenever going from channel 25 (CNN) to channel 27 (Discovery channel).

6. No, I couldn't imagine Woodward doing that- because Woodward is a
bought-and-paid-for Bush shill.

7. They're losing viewers
mostly to MSRNC, not sure if that's much of a change for the better, but at least MSRNC shows a little more respect to Democrats while mouthing RNC talking points and denying Democrats a voice.

9. It's the easy way out.
It's much easier to put down and belittle the messenger than it is to disprove the message. It's more cowardly, but it is easier.

That's pretty much the standard operating procedure for Repub campaigns for public office. Bastards.

FWIW, whenever I go to a restaurant with a television and Faux News is on, I ask the manager to turn the station. If they don't I leave, tell the manager why I'm leaving, and I don't return. I refuse to support the businesses that support these RW asshats. It may not make an immediate difference, but I believe in some way every little bit helps.
