Has anybody seen "Chasing El Norte"?
It is about the risks that many young men take to come here to work, yes, illegally, but they do so to survive, better themselves. I've seen the movie. It is very tough to watch at times. It puts a personal face to all those "illegals" out there. Anyhow, I was looking for more information about the movie and found this. It is absolutely astounding how different people view the same movie. http://community.discovery.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/367101732/m/5191944508 This guy/gal is just plain nuts!

If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

Great movie. Never heard of "Chasing El Norte", though.

2. Yes, I have seen "El Norte" and I think everyone should see
it. It's so well done and sad.

I haven't heard of Maestro's movie either though.

3. It's a documentary running on Discovery Times
It ran this week. It is different than the movie. It is recent.

4. Thanks.
I hope they run it again. I'm having a rain fade problem with my satellite right now.

5. Several times. It puts a face on those scary "illegal immigrants".

6. Chasing El Norte is a great documentary. sad but great
I had no idea how bad conditions were in Honduras and the risks these people take to reach America.

As a whole, these "illegals" are more American than this present generation of bigoted, racist native-born so-called Americans.

These people cherish freedom, liberty and the chance to make it on your own and are WILLING to risk their life for the chance to get here. Time and time again.
