3. Every American should be forced to watch this show. I mean if you think
this is crap is simple matter of supporting Bush or whoever the fuck is in the White House.... This is real.

6. exactly
I know this is tough - VERY graphic in the ER with amputations and such. But every American needs to watch this indeed - to show what true reality is with this bullshit war.

8. Not only bullshit wars like this one, but when ever you go to war. You
have to know what that truly means. Is it worth it is the question. Not only are our men and women going to get maim and killed but so are a lot of innocent people who have no control over starting it or ending it.

12. believe me, I don't need to see it, having spent the last 30 years of my
life dealing with the consequences of one of the other obscene wars. but the people who really do need to see it--ie, ALL of those sheeples who are still supporting *co and this war--are the very ones who WON'T be watching it.

4. shit! I switched to HBO today so I could see it. Ooops.
Oh well. It was a good day...why ruin it? HBO replays their docs almost daily.

5. I don't know if I can...
Hell, I can't even watch my DVD of Saving Private Ryan more than once a year or so. That war was at least justified.

This shit, I don't know.

9. I'm sure they will - everyone NEEDS to see this
To see what death and hurt is to these soldiers. I have a cousin in Iraq and I know it's really tough on him.

No time listed as of yet. I missed it, so I am hoping to watch it next week.

10. I'm watching LinkTV. Similar show.
The marines are rifling through the homes of Afgans, being total assholes. Looking for Taliban. I cannot imagine those people coming all the way from another country to screw with us over here. It isn't in this reality. 9/11 totally legitimized the meddling we are doing over there. I'm so sick of it. You cannot bomb and shoot your way into a peaceful world.

11. They're cleaning it up enormously. (Not showing 95% of it.)
Anyone who hasn't been in a combat zone really can't imagine.

Since being in Viet Nam, I totally lost any interest whatsoever in 'horror'/'slasher' movies of any kind. For twenty-five years, I just couldn't be where people used firearms (ranges or plinking). People react in different ways.

13. the filmmaker said they omitted most of the graphic scenes
He said "in order to understand the heroism we have to see the horror" and then omitted most of the horror, sparing Americans the real deal.

My heart went out to that chaplain. What a wonderful man, ministering not only to the dead and dying, but also to the caregivers. His prayers begin with "We did everything we could to save him." That is ministry to physicians and nurses.

He also said earlier that he purposely didn't count the number of soldiers that he has seen die in the ER.

16. Even "cleaned up", it had a strong impact
I am inh awe of the doctors in the ER and the soldiers who serve. And if I thought I was enraged before at that lying chimpy bastard and his handlers who sent OUR kids into FUBARland on a litany of lies and false justifications...

EVERY American should see it. I'm giving my family a heads-up for the Memorial Day rerun.
