I'm already stocked up on bottled water (Zephyrhills finest), canned tuna (both albacore, and chunk light, propane, and dried pinto beans.

Anybody got a good recipe for tuna chili?

My roof is currently sitting on a pallet in my driveway. Wilma ate our last one. Our homeowners insurance is through the Poe Financial Group, which if you've been reading the local papers you know is in deep financial trouble. Our insurance is going up a lot when our current policy runs out, and it's already outrageous. Even getting insurance at all may prove to be a Herculean task.

I really believe that if another hurricane strikes South Florida this year we are going to see a MASSIVE exodus from this place.

2. why for the dried beans?

i have tons of dried beans also but i can't imagine what good they'd do in a crisis, they're frickin useless w. no electricity for the crockpot?
