How the sam-hill do you get through to Cspan?

Everytime I get it a ring, it rings and rings for about a minute, maybe two, tben cuts the call. Has anyone ever gotten through? And do you get a screener who then puts you on hold? Is there something I'm not doing right? I wanted to get through in the worst way this morning!

1. That's what the democrat line does. Only the republican line works.
I've gotten the ring many times, too, but it NEVER picks up. Ever. But they always seem to have plenty of space for republicans.

2. I heard them say one time that they let it ring for a long time so that
you don't pay for a long distant call any longer than absolutely necessary. Don't know if that is BS but that was the explanation they gave. Also, when it is close to the end of the segment they will let it ring until it automatically cuts itself off rather than you be charged for a call when you won't be allowed to speak.

I have never tried to call on the repug line but I know there are several callers on the "official party line" that get through over and over again. They always use the same lines, spew the same nonsense, always from the same cities. Maybe since Chucklenuts has a direct line to god they get get special privileges.

:sarcasm:

3. The local telephone company
likely limits the amount of time a call can be ringing since ringing is a limited resourse. Our switch cuts the call at 25 rings. So CSPAN by letting it ring are limiting calls.
