US oil industry charges US gov't w/ "behaving like a third world despot"
Oil producers fume at 'third world' profits grab
By Sheila McNulty in Houston and Alexander Kliment in Washington

The US oil industry charged the government with behaving like a third world despot after the House of Representatives voted to punish companies if they refused to change contracts to give the government a bigger share of rising oil profits.

"We live in a nation of laws," said John Felmy, chief economist at the American Petroleum Institute, which represents US oil producers. "This is not Caracas or Moscow."

3. BOTH those places are democracies, dumbass
welcome to a real democracy--where the powerful are held accountable. Haven't felt that touch in awhile, I guess. And the touch is feeble indeed.

5. Well, well.....
who would have guessed it would come to this....

With the entire administration soaked in Black Gold, this is really surprising. Look at the people steering the ship (loaded with oil): Bush (oil man) Cheney (Halliburton oil man) CondaLiar Rice (Oil person). The entire administration is made up of people either in the oil industry of energy.

So what are they complaining about?
