Santorum. Another "macho" Repuke hiding behind his woman
Edited on Mon May-22-06 03:15 PM by maxrandb
Check this out. Ricky doesn't answer the allegation that his "unfurnished, bare walls and windows" 'home' is a front. Doesn't mention the fact that he lives in Virginia. Doesn't answer the question of why Pennsylvania taxpayers should pay for his children's private education.

He doesn't do any of that. But look at what the paragon of virtue and the strong "manly-man" Republican Senator does do. He has his little Stepford wifey help him draft a letter. Talk about hiding behind your momma's apron??? I thought Repukes were tough guys. You can almost hear him whining "what about the children"???

Karen and I Respond to Casey Campaign's Despicable Action By: Rick Santorum · Section: Diaries

On Friday, my wife Karen and I sent the following letter to Bob Casey, Jr. in response to one of his campaign operatives peering into the windows of our family home in Penn Hills. We await his response.

May 19, 2006

Bob Casey, Jr. c/o Bob Casey for Pennsylvania Committee 1601 Walnut St, Suite 402 Philadelphia, PA 19102

Dear Bob,

We are writing to express our outrage regarding the actions of your campaign, which have put our six young children at a serious safety risk. Last night, we learned with deep dismay that a Casey operative admitted on KDKA-TV to trespassing on our property and viewing the inside of our home. Further, your campaign issued a press release yesterday that falsely says that we do not stay in our Penn Hills home. This reckless statement is not only a lie, but alerts those who may want to enter the home illegally. Your despicable actions have greatly endangered our children's safety.

Let us remind you that while Rick is a U.S. Senator, Karen and our six young children are not. You are welcome to criticize Rick's positions, but putting our children's privacy and safety at risk has certainly crossed a line we never expected. If anyone associated with our campaign ever put your wife or children in any type of risk, he or she would be fired immediately.

We call on you to immediately dismiss your campaign spokesperson and anyone else on your staff involved with this malicious effort. Anything short of the dismissal of these individuals is your endorsement of this repugnant act.

Your immediate attention to this unfortunate matter would be much appreciated by every member of our family.

Sincerely,

Rick and Karen Santorum

If I were in Casey's camp, I have the perfect response.

Dear Ricky,

We weren't trespassing on your property. One of my staff went over to your house with some pastries to see if we could sit down and discuss what's best for the taxpayers of Pennsylvania over a cup of coffee. When no one answered the door, we looked through a window to make sure you and your family were alright.

Since your home in Pennsylvania does not even appear to have a coffee maker, the next time we want to visit...well... I guess we'll have to visit your mansion in Virginia.

sincerely,

Bob Casey (an actual PA resident)

PS: It's not really befitting a gentleman to have your wife fight your battles for you.

1. I LOVE your response. Send it to Casey's campaign manager.
That letter from "Rick and Karen" is hilarious - how on earth were their 6 children's safety at risk? Oh the outrage!!

I would respond with the same absurd tone of their letter, which is what you've done so well.

5. Here -
This is the general email from Casey's website: info@bobcaseyforpa.com. Here's the phone number - 215.567.4190 - I would probably call and find out if there's a better email to send your letter. :hi:

4. Nobody! and I mean NOOOOO-BODY
can fake outrage like a Republican. It's almost like it's a gift that they have.

Little Ricky has no problem going on Sean Insanity's Show and saying "liberals want to sodomize your daughters and force your sons to watch "Brokeback Mountain".

Republican politicians fake outrage better than their wives and mistresses fake orgasm.

7. He doesn't just LIVE in VA, he LUXURIATES there!
And his WIFE wants the Cap Cops to GUARD the empty PA nest!!! Who elected HER to boss the Cap Police around????? Vat CHUTZPAH!!!!

...At the center of it all is the house in Penn Hills, Pa., a middle-class suburb of Pittsburgh, that Santorum has claimed as his legal and voting residence since the late 1990s. At the same time, Santorum has spent most of his nights in one of two homes in northern Virginia - a long commute from the capital - where he and his wife, Karen, cyber-schooled and now are home-schooling those six children. The family currently lives in a home in Leesburg, Va., that is assessed at $962,500.

Santorum was damaged politically when it was revealed in late 2004 that taxpayers in Penn Hills had paid for the cyber-schooling of the senator's kids while they were a couple of hundred miles away in Virginia. The senator has said the schooling and his use of the house as a voting residence is legal because he owns the modest, two-bedroom house and pays property taxes.

This week, with the primary election, the controversy flared anew. "I have a right to contest the Santorums' votes," said Ed Vecchio, whose wife is the Democratic leader of Penn Hills. "Their house has no furniture and no drapes. They don't live in Penn Hills."

Santorum's response? That the Vecchios and, by extension, the Democrats and Casey, were in essence trespassing and looking into the home. His wife called the Capitol Police and asked that police guard the home in Penn Hills. ...

8. It's disgusting...

Most Americans can't afford one home. These slime balls purchase one simply as a front.

13. Here is what needs to happen
Ricky's abandoned home in Penn Hills needs to be condemned. Wonder if the city cuts the grass? Even better would be for Ricky's abandoned home in Penn Hills to become a "crack-house". It's fitting, because to think like that a$$hole, you'd have to be on drugs. Maybe it could become a place for hookers to service their clients.

Abandoned homes all over this country become crackhouses, meth labs and houses of ill-repute. Why should Ricky's be guarded by the Capitol Police??

What are the squatter laws in Pennsylvania?

If he wasn't such a pompous ass, he'd have given this home as shelter for a family dislocated by Katrina.

This guy needs to go down!! I've never once felt like throwing a brick at my TV, until I saw Ricky on the floor of the Senate. He's a condescending, holier-than-thou, whiny, snivelling, chicken-shit, chicken-hawk.

To tell you how I really feel about Saint Ricky....if he were on fire, I wouldn't even piss on him.

9. "the modest, two-bedroom house" would not be FHA qualified
Edited on Mon May-22-06 03:47 PM by TahitiNut
... as a residence for eight people, including six school-age children. No fucking way; no fucking how. Santorum and his Stepford wife are LIARS - total, outright, complete liars. Anyone who'd believe for an instant that they live there for even a day a year with six children (in a two-bedroom house!) hasn't the brains God gave a dung beetle.

10. Why not just talk to the neighbors?
Go next door and say, "What do you think of your next door neighbor Rick?"

When they say, ".....Who?" BUSTED!

11. Sounds like something we would do in high school. And I
mean in the early years. This guy always seems to be stuck at about 12 years old. Heck the best TV is watching Congress any how. Fact is over 10 years ago I got dish TV so I could work and have c-span on and it made my day.
