Bush and his inner circle do not care one spit about what Americans think of wiretapping, or collecting logs of phone calls made, or .....

The bottom line is that they move/act under the assumption at the edge of legality (many times this is debatable), and will not be swayed.

HOWEVER, we should be pinning support of these clandestine and unethical behaviors on the Republican, the party which gave us W.
All we need to do is to provide some statistics to Americans as to how often individual Republican politicians voted with W, and the data will speak for itself. For instance, who voted for that wonderful energy bill that gave so much of our money the energy corporation? By the ongoing reports of their record profits, they certainly needed the corporate welfare!
