however I am very unsure of this story

seems way too good for the powers that be...

unless he has irrefutable evidence of an FBI inside job I'd say he should resign

9. While I believe in innocense until guilt is proven
I still think that tape is damning enough on its own.

Besides, he needs to resign to shame all the GOP thieves who have not.

Taking a bribe just adds fuel.

19. Rep. William Jefferson is being persecuted because he's Christian.
If you hate Jefferson, then you hate Jesus and America.

And it only gives aid and comfort to the terrorists.

20. Since the money was found a year ago
If there was anything to it, the rethug investigators would have done something about it then.

Not drag it out in order to distract from rethug crimes.

22. Of course. Assuming things are more or less as they appear...
Given how much republicans lie, I'd make a solid investigatory effort to see if this is all a republican setup. If nothing came up, then yah - kick the jackass out.

23. Oh God Yeah. This Isn't Slight Corruption. This Was On A Huge Scale. He
sickens me now. I can't see any possible way he can clear his name and claim to be innocent. There is so much evidence against him it isn't even funny. I don't even consider him to be a democrat anymore.

25. This poll warms my heart....
It is great to see that DUers are able to stand up to one of their own when that person does wrong. When 95% of DUers are able to admit there is a problem with in their own ranks without shame it shows a great deal of integrity. If this question was posted about Tom DeLay in Freeperland a few monthes back, I am willing to bet their results would have been the exact opposite, with 95% suggesting DeLay should stay. It is good to know that we do not blindly follow based on party loyalty.
