The US-backed Iraqi government sent an official representative to this week's meeting of the Arab League Boycott Office in Damascus, The Jerusalem Post has learned, prompting criticism from members of Congress and the Bush administration.

Liaison officers from 14 countries met for four days this week to discuss ways of intensifying the Arab embargo against Israel. Among those taking part were delegates from several ostensible US allies, such as Iraq, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

7. As I understand it, it is ILLEGAL for a U.S. citizen to join the boycott
of Israel.

Actually, I see this as something as a plus, since U.S. citizens are denied the right to withhold their personal financial support to a regime some find distasteful.

10. My God, we should be asking Bush, "Had enough yet"
The Pandora's box this man has opened by invading Iraq. He will never be free of the meddling, the hand-wringing, the worring, the threats, the cajoling, the outright threats, to make them do his bidding.

You can NEVER succeed at controlling a country like that. Especially not while the whole WORLD IS WATCHING. And remarking sarcastically.

Good Lord. In the meantime, the fuse is burning for Bush and his Base here at home. The public is giving an F- for his performance in this mess. To hell with nation building. The oil was not worth it.

Had enough yet, George?

15. Kuwait? Is that the same Kuwait that just abolished its parliament?
The same Kuwait that was "slant-drilling" Iraqi oil which caused Saddam, after much pleading with the UN to do something about it, to take matters in his own hands and invade? the same Kuwait we went to war for and fought Desert Storm for, and sanctioned Iraq causing the deaths of untold numbers of innocent elderly, sick, and children because of shortages of medicines, supplies for schools, and sanitary needs? The same Kuwait that did not raise a finger of its own children to fight Saddam in either war? The same Kuwait that hires the US to defend it while its wealthy children play in NYC and LA?
