Is This Freeway Blogging?
Edited on Mon May-22-06 08:19 PM by tlsmith1963
In the last two days, I have seen two different signs that say "impeach" next to freeways. One was made out of wood & the other was just a piece of cardboard with "impeach" written with a marker, but hey, it's the thought that counts!:) Did I just see some examples of freeway blogging? Has anyone else seen signs like these in their town?

2. Cool! I've seen a few in yards, but never along a road.
That's a good idea! I hope the country gets covered in them!

3. You know what would be a great streetside protest?
People lined up with cardboard signs: "Will Work for Impeachment".

Just a thought.

6. How many of those on freewayblogger.com are fake, though?
Some of them look obviously photoshopped.

13. the reason they might look fake is because
one way to generate them is to print out your message in a regular font and project it onto a large piece of cardboard, bed sheet, or whatever and paint in the letters. Those type fonts rarely appear that large, sign companies use different fonts that are designed to be big.

14. it's not the fonts that make them look fake
It's the blurred pixels around the text. And the lack of shadows on some of them.

15. I have actually printed out single letters per page
and pasted the pages on cardboard to make the signs. The letters are big, can be read through chain link fences on overpasses and can be made in mass very quickly.

It's a blast and you can use any message you want. I have suggested things like "Google Diebold Fraud". I like "google" signs, they are easy to remember and get people to look things up for themselves. I have also had people mention that they saw the signs without them knowing that it was me that did them.

I used that every time I traveled to campaign in 04. I printed out the "Bush Two Face" from the DNC site, and stopped long enough to plaster it all over the highway on my way.

It's great fun.

8. It Gave Me Hope!
I was in a lousy mood the other day because of the Truthout fiasco, but as soon as I saw the first "impeach" sign, I was in a much better mood!
