Rasmussen: shrub 40% job approval... |
|
President Bush Job Approval Updated Daily by Noon Eastern
Bush Job Approval Strongly Approve 19% Somewhat Approve 20% Somewhat Disapprove 16% Strongly Disapprov 43%
Monday May 22, 2006--Forty percent (40%) of Americans Approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-nine percent (59%) disapprove.
Bleak as those numbers are, the President is viewed more favorably than Barry Bonds. The slugger who just tied Babe Ruth's career mark is viewed favorably by just 22% of baseball fans.
At the other end of the spectrum, Florida Senator Bill Nelson (D) has hit the 60% level of support in his bid for re-election. He leads Katherine Harris by 27 percentage points. Premium Members can see our latest data in the Florida Governor's race along with polls from California and Nevada.
Ted Strickland (D) maintains a double digit lead in his effort to become the first Democratic Governor of Ohio in 16 years. Also in Ohio. Congressman Sherrod Brown (D) leads incumbent Senator Mike DeWine (R) by three percentage points.
-----
Bush is actually up two points in this poll? I think its the only one that isn't showing him languishing at 30 percent.

Why? Was it his immigration speech? No one seemed very happy about his proposals. What else would it be? Gas is down a bit?

2. It's Rasmussen- the Fox News of pollsters. |
|
They also had a poll this week suggesting Hillary Clinton would be a good choice for the Democratic presidential candidacy. Haha.

|
it scares me that Hillary may get a lead that could be insurmountable early.

8. Rasmussen must only poll in Utah, Idaho and Mississippi |
|
in rural red neck towns that still have active KKK members, because their numbers are always 10 points different from everyone else.
