Al Gore on Stolen 2000 Election...
'No Intermediate Step Between Supreme Court and Violent Revolution'




From this week's issue of New York magazine...

Does he, like many Democrats, think the election was stolen?

Gore pauses a long time and stares into the middle distance. "There may come a time when I speak on that,” Gore says, "but it’s not now; I need more time to frame it carefully if I do.” Gore sighs. "In our system, there’s no intermediate step between a definitive Supreme Court decision and violent revolution."

Later, I put the question of Gore’s views on the matter to David Boies, his lawyer in the Florida-recount battle. "He thought the court’s ruling was wrong and obviously political," Boies says. So he considers the election stolen? "I think he does—and he’s right."

does anyone think it was Gore's right to prevent the citizens from having a chance of revolting? in other words why did it have to be violent?

in the Ukraine, the obvious election rigging was met with people PEACEFULLY assembled in the streets.. why couldn't Gore trust us to try that here? why did he turn over like Kerry did in 2004 and let the criminal Bush regime roll over us like tractors rolling over the grass?

2. I rather doubt people will be coming out into the streets.

3. OMG! This is exactly the question that I was going to pose! I went
to find my copy of the Declaration of Independence to quote from it, and you had posted my very question. Why does revolution have to be violent? It doesn't. In this document, all of the offenses, illegalities and tyrannical abuse of power of the King of Great Britain are listed. We need to rewrite a new declaration perhaps. Or articles of impeachment as a nation, state by state.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness.

6. Don't forget this part:

Its not only the right of the people to throw off despotism it is our DUTY.

8. Sadly, it took other nations to remove Hitler from power. It will be
no different in the USA to remove the republicans/PNAC from power.

People rarely rise up against their own. There are always too many loyalists for too many reasons. It takes outside forces to replace a despot regime such as the PNAC.

7. what a wonderful post...
it helps to read the declaration of independence to be reminded WE THE PEOPLE have much more power than our ignoble press or criminal administration would want us to believe...

i keep seeing that image in a World War II Nazi movie of a few nazi soldiers and a group of angry, scared jews in a concentration camp and one of them says, "Let's all charge now" and they take over without violence and restrain the SS soldiers...

sometimes it takes that kind of courage to charge and remove their weapons....
there are 10 X times more of us than them.. remember that.. more of us want peace and democracy than don't!

i wish we could as a nation make up our minds and move in that direction...

perhaps this is summed up somewhere.
What has Gore written or said
about the legal specifics of the various court orders.
