Politics is a war of words...so why are our Dems shooting blanks?
I posted this early today, but the title "Like Mace in the Face" didn't seem to go over very well.

So here it is again.

No more playing nice. It's time to lock and load and play to win. If we want this country back, it's time to take off the gloves and fight like we mean it.

*********

As the hotly contested mid-term elections approach, the Democratic challengers need to keep the fire burning under their base, but they also have to throw the much-considered "independants" a reason to change their recent voting habits. It's not enough that the people are turning against Bushco, if they vote for more of the same from their local "reps."

One consistent meme needs to arise in any debates between the Republicans and any Democratic challengers.

"As we've seen, the Republicans aren't competent to govern. They say they can be trusted to protect us, but apparently not without violating their oaths of office and destroying the very thing on which our country was founded. Republicans are the anti-Constitution party."

"Not competent to govern."

"Anti-Constitution means anti-American."

"Violating their sworn oaths by supporting an Administration that openly mocks and seeks to subvert the Constitution."

"If we lose our freedoms, the terrorists win."

"The Republicans put their party's interests over America's interests."

It's that simple, folks. Paint the Republicans with the largest brush available, with the blood red smear of this administration's blatant failures. Incompetent. Anti-Constitution. Anti-Freedom. Contemptuous of the power of the people and our elected representatives.

Corrupt.

EVERY SINGLE Repug needs to be shot in the face with this...in every debate. In every TV or radio ad. Incompetent. Corrupt. Un-American.

Both barrels. Every time.

1. Because they don't operate like a corporation
...so why are our Dems shooting blanks?

The repukes are good at this stuff because they have to be, not being a legitimate political party and all. Representing the corporate interests as they do, it's part of their "culture," if you will, to appear to be something they're not. That's why they spend 24/7/365 coming up with slogans and memes and all the rest that is the repertoire of the modern propagandist.

Your ideas for communication are excellent. Yes, Democrats need to use them but it doesn't appear to be part of their "culture." How do we hammer that home?

Maybe you, me and anyone else interested should have a face-to-face with the Democrats who run the communications end. We need to find out just what the hell their problem is.

Bushes poll numbers are in the toilet. Americans prefer to have congress controlled by Democrats by a 15% margin.

The Dems doing quite well. No need to be yelling , spewing , ranting or screaming. They need to keep the independents in mind, they will win or lose the election.
