2. The Washington Journal has turned into INFO-tainment?!? |
|
This topic is beyond inane passing into inappropriate to address on C-SPAN.
DAMN DLC and the Corporate news media are going to SHOVE her down our throats ... they WILL make Hillary our Democratic Nominee. Like hell they will! :grr:
I'm disgusted with C-SPAN again today - an occurrence that's happening more and more with this and NPR.
Again, ALL AMERICANS can consider themselves wearing the blue dress now.
HEY DLC! I (+ many LIBERALS) WILL NOT VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!

about the divisness and the good of the party. The fringe group deviseness, DLC vs liberals isn't doing anybody anygood
"It is clear some of you thrive on conflict and couldn't be fair or reasonable if your life depended on it, choosing rather to perpetuate fractious unease with other Democrats for a purpose that escapes most of us. And that goes for both sides of this stupid issue.
I have had some pretty good conversations with people on the boards and by PM that I seemed to butt heads with, finding we really have much more in common than we thought, but it takes someone willing to put aside the nonsense, and there are a handful of you DU'ers that are clearly incapable of communing with anyone other than those that share your narrow mindset.
Just know there are many people here that are tired of the constant struggle between factions that in the bigger scheme of things is petty and pointless. But feel free to indulge yourselves as we all know you will, regardless of others being fed up with the BS."
and this gem:
" Apparently DLC positions are supported by the majority of those who call themselves Democrats. If that's true, then the various splinter groups dedicated to specific issues need to either accept the majority Democratic/DLC positions or consider alternative political avenues."
These are your fellow DUers! I will not provide the links so those who posted this drivel may cloak their shame in anonymity. If you PM I will give you the link, however.

Edited on Tue May-23-06 06:55 AM by ShortnFiery
I am DEMOCRATIC ... that's why, unlike 2000 and 2004, I'm going to VOTE for my own democratic principles by voting GREEN in 2008 IF Hillary or Lieberman get the nod.
BTW I'm tired of being verbally bludgeoned. You want to march lock step, go for it! However, it's NO LIE that the Democratic Party leadership have neglected the liberal side of the Democratic Party for over a decade. Nobody should be surprised when those of us left of center do not *obey the DLC* come 2008 Presidential Election. Hell, we'll surely lose anyway, so I'm voting my conscious, not for hawkish, warmongering, and corporate lovin' DINO.
So, either compromise with the liberal a little or get used to Republican Rule? The choice is the DLC's, not yours in particular. :hi:
On Edit: No, I won't PM you for the link. I'm getting an impression that this site is not GREEN friendly and that's OK. I will let you go forth and enjoy the ever expanding DLC echo chamber. But realize, it's not real world. Best Regard and "off rant."

I totally share your sentiments, SnF, totally. I have bartered away my conscience too many times & been left both a loser and without any principles! A feeling which I didn't like at all. If I must be a loser, I prefer to hold my head high.

We have regressed so far in this country in our thoughts about the ability of women as the result of Republican rule that neither Hillary nor any woman has a chance to win while we're at war.
And, in regards to Hillary, specifically, is that she has also been made a pariah in the red/purple states and we HAVE to flip at least two of those to win. No matter how politically savvy she is and no matter how much money she raises, there simply aren't enough people - on the right, in the middle and on the left - who will vote for her. She's a dichotomy. The right thinks she's too liberal, the left thinks she's too conservative and the middle (those who would rather vote for the American "Idle" than the president) won't consider a woman during war time.

13. I would love to see a woman President of the USA |
|
since I R One  and have a daughter.
However, you're right. Look at our Foreign Affairs? There's absolutely no attempt at diplomacy because it's considered "weak sister" and "feminine."
With all this preaching ... "We're at War!" I agree, there's no room for compromise much less valuing the Excellent characteristics that are usually attributed (stereotyped) to those of us in the feminine gender.
So much of our military operations seemingly border on the homo-erotic that it's beginning to freak me out how much the USA feels compelled into a bizarro "HE-Man of the Universe" type mentality.

6. C-Span is moving toward Fox's version of news. |
|
I used to really enjoy watching C-Span and listening to NPR -- no more. I don't know how these callers even find the where-with-all to dial a phone number, much less actually speak into the receiver. NEVER underestimate the power of human stupidity. That's why they love this dictator"tot" boy king -- they've found someone even dumber than they are.

Can't people realize that we are NOT a country of back to back Dynasties. This is sick stuff! Kind of like a "Glick" political personality and marriage assessments?
I'm sorry, but she's too right for me. Right of Center! I resisted voting Green and went for the DLC's selections in 2000 and 2004, but I will NOT vote for someone as *political sensitive* (to the right) in 2008. No amount of cajoling will get many of us on the left to vote for her.
I wish democratic people resist the DLC and NOT hitch their wagons to Hillary because she will LOSE and LOSE BIG. :(

act regarding C-Span's obvious rw bias. I had never seen Connie upset before and I was surprised that she dropped "her guard." Brian Lamb keeps the lie going that C-Span is an "equal opportunity" broadcast whenever he is confronted with the truth. I was especially delighted when the woman caller mentioned Giuliani, that cockroach specimen, as being someone that callers should discuss the private lives of. He is stinking, rotten garbage!

She was pissed! I was chuckling to myself and could see Ms. Connie getting upset. But it's not her fault though. It wasn't her decision to choose what article to focus on. But all in all, that caller was mostly correct! And I was also surprised that a lot of the right wing callers weren't as hateful as usual. Maybe they thought it was bs too.

22. While what you suggest sounds intriguing... |
|
I suggest we spend our time getting all the proof we can that our party has been infiltrated by the rw, namely the DLC, and many of our politicians have been "hoodwinked" or "forced" into joining that sickening group.
Yes, and they have even tried to takeover DU by accusing anyone who dissents with their DINO plans of being "fringe." But since when has the "fringe" outnumbered the so-called "central body?"
To hell with Hillary Clinton
To hell with the DLC!
