What part of "the war's a disaster, stop it now" don't the neocons get? |
|
What's so difficult about pulling out of a disaster? Just leave, pack it up, lock up on your way out, punch out time, miller time, it's over, history, wrap it up, it's lost, it's over, it's a total cluster____, what's so difficult to understand about that?

Those who count the increasing number of American soldiers killed in Iraq are missing the bigger picture, retired Gen. Tommy Franks said Saturday night.
"What we're talking about is neither 2,400, 24,000 or 240,000 lives," Franks said at the National Rifle Association's annual banquet.

you break it, you fix it
if we leave, the terrists win
we've reached a turning point in Iraq
you probably would rather still have Saddam in power
millions of Iraqis are now free
what about all the good things--the schools and prisons and stuff the KB&R has built
anti-murkan morans like you should be tortured in Gitmo
if it wasn't for Bill Clinton, there would be no insurgents
we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here

8. Typical warhawk rhetoric |
|
A re-run of Viet war era propaganda:
If we leave now, the country will be in chaos: Take another look and describe "chaos".
Their neighbors will adopt western governance after they see the results: I don't think their "neighbors" would want to trade for this mess.
We need the oil: Where's the oil going now?
We need to maintain a footprint in the area: How long can we stay at the current cost in blood and money?
We'll stand down when they stand up: We only allow them to have an armed police force to control their citizens. Where's the Iraqi Air Force, Navy, and tank corps needed to protect themselves?
I don't think even the neos believe their reasons for perpetual war, the bigger question is when will the barstool Republicans stop repeating the talking points and demand an end to the drain on our pride and treasury?
