Torture apologist David Rifkin on NPR's Talk of the Nation earlier
Funny, why do I keep confusing him with Joel Rifkin? (Rhetorical question.) This piece of work just went on and on repeating the same claims, essentially that the rules of war say that anything goes and that you can hold enemy combatants until the war is over. Ummm, Dave? What war? Did somebody declare war and I didn't hear about it? Struck me as a tryout for Deputy Under Attorney General under Gitmo Gonzo or something like that.

Some minimal information is here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5425590
If you have a burning interest, the site says that audio for the interview/ report will be available c. 6 pm EDT.

1. do people really buy this?
I mean besides the knuckle draggers who think that what was done in Jasper TX a while back was just "having fun".

3. Rifkin has been a Team-B shill since Iran-Contra
He's very aggressive and shameless about lies. He must be on the NPR speed-dial as a rent-a-shill, because I've been hearing him on and off since the Reagan Administration.

I think they pull him out when nobody on the A-Team wants to be seen defending the indefensible.
