Older DUers...do you find this as weird as the guy the Soviets claimed was alive for so long??

What in the world is the point of this?

There was an interview with him in the New Yorker just a couple of weeks before his stroke. It was as comprehensive as anything I've ever read about the man. He evolved in ways that left me breathless. What a vision he had, and how he fought for it. I didn't always agree with his tactics, but I understood why he used them.

It doesn't surprise me at all that his heart keeps going. Like him or not, I have to admit that he was the kind of leader Israel needed, and I hope the new people carry on his philosophy and legacy.

He was remarkable.

anyone can be kept alive way past their time.

Sharon has had 5 - 7 surgeries since his stoke. Quality of life at this point = 0.

massive stroke and cognitively will never be the same but perhaps there is some hope he will be able to live outside a hospital at some point. Unless the drs. treating him or the family provide in-depth info., no one but Sen. Frist can diagnose him from afar.
