1. I know the in-the-knows still say Joe will walk right over him,
but everything I hear about Lamont makes me think otherwise.

Go Dean's Brother!

9. Well, Lamont got 33% of the vote and that was not a secret vote
From everything I have read, had the vote been secret so that Joementum couldn't actually see who was raising their hands for the vote he would have been in big trouble.

10. Yes, that was a telling vote.
Even Lamont didn't expect that. He was ready to petition.

7. I'm not as mad at him over the war as I am mad at him over Schiavo
I think you can articulate a decent position on Iraq but NOT on Schiavo. Not if you know the facts. He supported Jeb Bush's efforts to "keep her alive" when he was running for prez in 2004 and Frist's efforts in 2005.

I'm still pissed.

12. I can't tell if you are being sarcastic so...
from a discussion we had a couple of days ago about the Krugman article about Joe...I posted:

"There's more. Mr. Lieberman supported Congressional intervention in the Terri Schiavo affair, back when Republican leaders were trying to manufacture a "values" issue out of thin air." (from the Krugman article)

Like you, I wasn't sure. So I googled it.

So...I found... this (the Bush in this article is Jeb Bush) "Democratic presidential candidate Joe Lieberman told Associated Press Oct. 22 he supports Gov. Bush’s actions in the Schiavo case. Government must “honor life,” he said." From here: http://www.floridabaptistwitness.com/1712.article

And this from NewsMax:
Former Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Lieberman says if it were up to him, he'd reinsert Terri Schiavo's feeding tube in order to keep her alive.

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/3/27/213955.sht...

And this from the times on the 19th: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/19/nyregion/19lieberman....

Mr. Lamont, 52, says his frustrations with Mr. Lieberman solidified in the spring of 2005, when the senator voted to allow a federal court to review the case of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman whose case drove a national debate over right-to-die issues.

Google is your friend, and mine (be careful. There was a Dr. Lieberman involved in the Schiavo case). This was basically all I needed but if you want more many of the link cite to THAT Lieberman and not Joe.)

11. Lamont seems to coming on like a runaway truck on the downhill leg east of
Crossville Tenn.

This endorsement is well timed and coujld well pay off. I know Holy Joe's the conventional wisdom, but it seems to me Ned's already made a lie of the conventional wisdom with his 35% in the suposedly 'locked up' primary.
