bush has turned this country into a nightmare where the only thing that
counts is POWER and CONTROL. he is the one holding absolute POWER and CONTROL over us and the rest of the world...what a sad conclusion to have to come to.

it's not necessarily so in the greater scheme of things.

Yes I still try to be a deluded optimist. Silly me.

It's hard these days in the face of the acute digression of what this country used to represent. I still think it's redeemable. Despite all appearances. Again silly me.

reminds me that at some point before he died, Pope John Paul II told Bush, "you alone will be responsible for changing the course of humanity"--and the Pope did not mean that Bush was changing it in any nice way. he in fact told bush just before bush invaded iraq--a step which the pope opposed.
