i remember an artist for Esquire had one of the single greatest peanuts parodies i'd ever seen...i'll see if i can find it

Sparky Schultz was a truly great man too. Landed on D Day
(remembered the troops every year in his strip), integrated his
strip when it was a risk, gave us a Charlie Brown's Xmas, gave
millions to education & charity, and died the day his last strip went out.
