True Irony: Faux News Presstitutes and Hillary
What is hilarious is watching all of the Fox news people have to pretend that Hillary is such a great senator and really doing great things . . . all the while muttering under their breath "Oh, please Democrats, fall for it and nominate her! I can almost taste the delicious hate we will be able to spew once the trap has been sprung."

("Whatever you do, don't throw me in that briar patch!")

You can like Hillary as a candidate or not (I certainly don't), but what is without question is that Fox wants her to win the nomination so badly that they are drooling, so they are very respectful in their tone right now.

Here are some excerpts from a Media Matters compilation (http://mediamatters.org/items/200605240008) on the NYT story discussing the Clintons' sex life (don't have time to go into that vomit-inducing outrage right now)(and of course, thigh-rubbing Chris Matthews about passed out at the opportunity to drool and talk about Clinton sex again):

FoxNFiends Killmeade: Senator Hillary Clinton could do all the great policy decisions she wants and be the strong senator she might be right now, but if the marriage starts coming into it, they feel like it could derail her campaign.

FoxNewsLive Bimbette: Hillary Clinton, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for president in '08

Washington Times Liar: But remember, Brigitte, these two are probably the most savvy politicians in the country.

Bought and paid for Eleanor Clift: I think Hillary Clinton has made great headway in presenting herself as a very competent senator. She's on her way to win big re-election in New York

FN Dayside host:The latest Fox News polls have Senator Hillary Clinton doing well against some notable Republicans in '08.

Do you get it now, Dems? Oh, they are so hoping they can run against Hillary. Even these quotes don't do them justice. They discussed Hillary almost with something approaching sounding like respect (except that spittle-flecked Matthews, of course). It rang so untrue on a Fox station.

If they can just keep their faces straight for a little while longer . . . maybe we'll fall for it . . .

You're right. They'd turn on her in a flicker.

2. Now juxtapose how they and other GOP outlets treat Gore
Like this steady meme (there's even a website up now) about Gore being a hypocrite because of all the CO2 he uses travelling to promote his movie (BTW, this is the funniest line of attack I have ever heard). The above mentioned web site even keeps track of his travels and figures out how much CO2 he is using.

They want Hillary to be the nominee in the worst way.

4. Many poll results for 2008 here:
http://www.pollingreport.com/2008.htm

I'm beginning to see why there's so much talk about Hillary running. She polls best among the Democrats. These polls also show why Gore says he won't run. 60% think he would not make a good president. Just a snapshot but these polls are informative.

I agree with you that faux etc want Hillary. They believe that she's a perfect target for rovian politics.

5. Hillary just might be polling well because she is being selected for us as
our candidate by the msm whore. If you say something often enough, people begin to believe it.

6. So a large plurality want a Dem for President in 08 BUT
Both Clinton and Gore are polling well behind McCain. That's scary.

But what about other Democratic candidates? I'll bet that, once they get more name recognition, some of the others might poll very well against McCain. Clark and Feingold, for example. And why aren't Kerry and Edwards in this poll?
