1. Wow
The no's are actually leading. Somebody tell the democratic senators who love their jobs more than service.

3. These poll almost always lean heavily to the left
with numbers like thisd you can be sure that many Dems voted that he should be confirmed.

5. So any poll that leans left is false?
Some dems voted for confirmation so screw the constitution and people's rights and therefore they should vote to confirm?

6. No, but these online polls are notoriously unreliable.
As in this case -- I only became aware of it because some poster here told me to "DU this poll." And yes, Freepers DO Freep polls (we might even see them hit this one), but the bottom line is there is inadequate means to evaluate these uncontrolled online polls.

So, feel good about 'em (presuming you like the results), just don't think they're statistically significant.

10. I don't.
Any poll that isn't scientifically based, I don't believe. And even those polls can be false depending on how they are worded. But that doesn't mean I believe it's impossible that people prefer he isn't confirmed.

11. I hope you're right . . .
and regular, non-political-junkie-type folks are becoming profoundly disgusted with Schimpanki's C-plus Augustus schtik, and recognize in Alito more of the same old shit.

If so, I have one thing to ask: WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?

2. The way the media has been spinning this, I'm surprised at the results
45%(yes) 55%(no). I expected to see 90% yes by people watching and reading the mainstream media.

Says "Do you think it's time to get tough with Iran?" Does this mean nuke Iran? Get scaredier with Bush? What?
