The only thing you need to know about the "Fair Tax" |
|
Sean Hannity and Neal Bortz are behind it so you can be damn sure the rich aren't paying more in taxes. They claim a "pre-bate" on necessities will ensure that the poor actually make money. If the rich are paying less in taxes and they claim the poor are actually making money, then you can draw two possible conclusions: (1) the poor are ACTUALLY getting screwed and were going to have to build alot more homeless shelters or (2) the numbers don't add up and we are headed for a budget catastrophe.

8. Some dude we talked with a week or so ago.... |
|
...bought this HUGE old house that has to be completely remodeled. We're talking $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
And, apparently his family has it, too. He is a supporter of "fair tax". He's got bucks galore.
I wasn't surprised.

Nice how the GOP puts America into further debt everytime they get into office... yet, they have to give their corporate elite tax referrals, placing our kids future in debt. The GOP never makes a sacrifice for the people.

9. It works like Bush**'s tax cuts, except in reverse |
|
All the people who currently receive a pittance of a tax refund from Bush** will be the ones paying the bulk of this regressive flat tax. The Middle Class in other words.
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't fancy the idea of an additional 20-40% added to my food, utilities, clothing and gas bills.
