Jefferson calls Pelosi "tight-assed honkie bitch" ??? & HIS OFFICIAL REPLY
Edited on Thu May-25-06 10:03 AM by Laura PackYourBags
Up yours honkie bitch
May 24, 2006 08:48 PM / Capitol Hillbillies .
Scandal-ridden Louisiana Democratic Congressman William Jefferson is pissed at the leader of his party in the House. So pissed he reportedly called Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi a "tight-assed honkie bitch."
According to a House aide walking behind Jefferson while he was on a tirade about Pelosi asking him to step down from the House Ways & Means Committee because he got caught taking a $100,000 bribe from an FBI informant, Jefferson called Pelosi a "tight-assed honkie bitch who should mind her own fucking business."

"He sounded really pissed," said the aide who asked not to be identified. (Editor's Note: Although we did verify that the aide who emailed us this report does indeed work in the House of Representatives we could not find a second source who could verify what Jefferson said.)

"In the interest of upholding the high ethical standard of the House Democratic Caucus, I am writing to request your immediate resignation from the Ways and Means Committee," Pelosi wrote today to Jefferson in what the Associated Press described as a one-sentence letter. The FBI has a video of Jefferson accepting a $100,000 bribe and agents raiding his home found about $90,000 of the marked bills hidden in his freezer.

Jefferson's official response, where he left out the bit about asses and honkies and bitches, was longer than one sentence:

Leader Pelosi:

I have received your letter of this date requesting my immediate resignation from the Ways and Means Committee. With respect, I decline to do so.

Through my committee position and since this federal investigation became public, I have secured over $20 billion in tax credits and federal funds for my district after Hurricane Katrina. I authored the GO ZONE Act, the Katrina Public Finance Act, and the Katrina Tax Relief Act, along with my colleague Jim McCrery, which all resulted in massive tax relief for families, seniors, government agencies and businesses in the hurricane-affected region. All of these matters fall within the jurisdiction of the Ways and Means Committee. Additionally, my committee covers trade, which is important the Port of New Orleans. My work on the committee has been important to our port's recovery after the storm.

None of the matters reported to be under scrutiny involve issues under jurisdiction of the Ways and Means committee. Therefore, such a request would be even more perplexing and unreasonable. If I agreed, it would unfairly punish the people of the 2nd district and I will not stand for that.

Further, such a request would be discriminatory, in as much as no other Member currently under federal investigation has been asked to step down from a substantive, legislative committee assignment. It would also be unprecedented, in as much as I have served with Members who have been indicted, tried and won their cases, and who were never asked to step aside from their committee assignments during those processes. Therefore, I will not give up a committee assignment that is so vital to New Orleans at this crucial time for any uncertain political strategy.

Sincerely,
William J. Jefferson
Member of Congress

In other words: "Screw you honkie bitch."

I find that extremely difficult to believe. Certainly he may be under stress but this sounds like the rantings of someone who wants people to believe that Jefferson is a racist a lot more than something that Jefferson actually said.

Jefferson letter to Pelosi

The guy is a crook who is using the race card like a weapon against the Dems trying to clean our own house of corruption. He is single-handedly DESTROYING any high ground we may have on the ethics front for the 2006 elections. If we fail to take the House or Senate in 2006, I will hold William Jefferson partially responsible for the loss.

This is bullshit. Dem Leadership! Grow a SPINE and KICK HIS ASS OUT or CENSURE HIM! NOW!!

38. Pelosi should be manning the barricades against Bush White House
UNCONSTITUTIONAL invasion of Congress, instead of playing their game.

Members of Congress have the CONSTITUTIONAL right and protection to continue with their work in Congress, no matter if they are CONVICTED of a crime, let alone merely accused. This is a special and specific protection, because of centuries of abuse by kings using every means possible, including laws, courts and police, to oppress the peoples' representatives. It is an ESSENTIAL protection. And the Bushites' recent violation of it, with their raid on Jefferson's offices, should merit full censure and impeachment by the House. That's how serious it is.

When you combine it with other Bush inroads on this EQUAL BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT--for instance, his adding codas to laws passed by Congress, saying that HE decides if the law will apply to him and his junta--what we have here is a DISMANTLING of the Constitution. A coup.

These things ALWAYS start with the fascists picking off vulnerable members of the opposition. Someone who has a temper (McKinney). Someone who may be venally corruptible and vulnerable to a "sting" (Jefferson). (My personal opinion: $100,000 is peanuts--almost laughable--when you look at the TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS of dollars this junta is stealing. They are immune. Someone who may not have been playing along with the Cheney/Halliburton game in New Orleans is not. Add in a Bush-purged FBI, and the "little guy", who may have taken some cash but still loves and works for his people, gets stomped on like an ant, while the MegaCrooks get to retire to their taxpayer$$$$$-fortified island in the South Pacific with a direct line to Saudi bank accounts.)

This report on Jefferson's language fits right in with the Bushites' need to curtail Congress' CONSTITUTIONAL powers--its equality as a branch of the government, and its immunities--BEFORE we, the people, take it over this fall, if we can muster enough votes to overcome Diebold/ES&S's 5%-10% "thumb on the scales" for Bushites. We might well do that. The war profiteering corporate news monopolies will be helping the junta out, as always--with poorly sourced, sensationalist crap like this, which shouldn't be reported even if Jefferson DID say it, in a PRIVATE CONVERSATION. It's a witchhunt. A gang rape.

Pelosi should be DEFENDING CONGRESS, not piling on.

And this is not even getting into the matter of "innocent until proven guilty." We have an escalating White House assault on Congress, attacking its most fundamental Constitutional powers, in anticipation of a voter revolt against this junta, and when they set HER up, and come get HER, and drag her from her Congressional office, maybe she will begin to understand where this is goiing.
