Aaaargh - Mainstream media strikes again |
|
Last night, as my husband and I were dashing around the kitchen putting together dinner to throw on our 3 year old, he turned on the 6 o'clock news. I confess that I can't remember which network, although ABC comes to mind. Anyway the proto-typical female reporter (blonde, longish hair, fabulous suit) was doing some reportage on Rep. William Jefferson. She was talking away about the FBI raid and the accusations of bribery, when, straight-faced she started to call him Rep. Clinton. She never caught herself, the anchor idiot never interrupted her to say "Uh Susie Bell, I think you mean Rep. Jefferson.", and they never said anything afterwards to say "Susie Bell obviously meant Rep. Jefferson and we apologize for the mix-up." What liberal media?

1. Well in all fairness - she might just be stupid |
|
I mean, that she's a partisan hack does seem more likekly, but I don't think we should discount the possibility that she's as dumb as a post. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

2. True, but the smart ones are up in the booth behind the camera |

Connected to the talking bobble head via an earbud. Somebody up there could have easily corrected her without anybody being any wiser.

3. Then there's the possibility that she's both. |
|
Partisan hack and dumb as a post are hardly mutually exclusive.
In fact, they are often seen together...especially in the nooz media.

7. I say it's constipation |

I didn't see the report though, so maybe you eval'd her for that, and ruled it out.

4. They should have corrected the report... |
|
But, honestly, everytime I hear "William Jefferson", I think of the Big Dawg so I can see how easily this could happen to a person.

Gloria Borger, a brunette btw, said it to Bob S. My husband and I both looked at each other in disgust. No correction. Wonder why in the hell she had Clinton on her mind.
