Google: same query, different location, different results.

I'm trying to find out why identical Google queries return substantially different results on the West Coast vs. the East Coast.

Can anyone suggest a discussion group or other resource I can use to investigate this problem?

1. I don't know about that, but here is an example of what google does.

Search for Tiananmen Square and then search for "freedom".

First do it at www.google.com. Remember to search images.
Then try the same thing at www.google.cn

2. I think Google adds your past searches into a history and that is why

you get different results. From one computer to the next ... a google search is different.
