They should hang from a rope with their balls in their mouth. They are guilty of economic terrorism, which is every bit as dangerous as the terror unleashed on 9/11. They are a danger and a threat to the world, and they should now be disposed of.

1. Well, I don't believe in capital punishment
but I surely understand your sentiment. Life with no chance of parole. Hard labor. And their family should be left penniless like their employees.

Bastards.

8. We have them down here in the south
There's one outside my window picking up trash right now. They are wearing huge black and white striped jumpsuits. And there is a sheriff with a really, really big gun, too.

17. Life with no chance of parole and all members of their families

on welfare and food stamps!

I am against the DP, there are somethings that are far better I believe.

Let them rot in jail forever and read the words of MLK and other compassionate people.

Let the people that had to live without a pension, pass by their cells everyday and get to tell them what horrible people they are.

2. I have to agree with you there...
in general I am morally opposed to capital punishment, but I'm willing to compromise my principals in this case. Jail is too good for both of them.

3. LOL. And many jumped on me for suggesting jailing for life
a driver who killed a cyclist riding in a very wide bike lane..

15. Yes, there is. The Enron boys did not kill anyone
except for the one who committed suicide..

There is no doubt in my mind that many former Enron employees still voted for Bush in 2004 and will continue to vote Republicans.

Oh, and they cost Gray Davis of California his job.

Are you really more concerned about loss of money than loss of life?

16. no, but I am more concerned about intent
the boys at Enron intended to defraud by cooking the books to enrich themselves at the expense of others. The bicyclist/car accident that you claimed should result in the driver of the car rotting in jail for the rest of their life was an accident...even if negligent. Give the auto driver a charge of manslaughter or vehicular homicide...fine...they probably earned that one. But to rot in jail for the rest of their life??? Yeah...don't make a mistake that injures someone; you never know who will be on YOUR jury.

And what of the cyclist who causes an accident that kills a motorist? What would you say to that?

4. Nah, but we COULD bring back the stocks...
Edited on Thu May-25-06 01:28 PM by IntravenousDemilo
I think it would be kind of neat if as part of their sentence they had to sit in the stocks from, say, noon to eight, three days a week till the end of their sentence, and let their victims (or anyone else, really), throw rotten food and other things at them. One could even make a little money with a faeces concession -- just roll up to the area with a wagon full of poop and charge by the scoop.

Some public humiliation would do Kenny and Jeffy a world of good.

6. Lock 'em up,
throw away the key. Leave them in the hole, where they can't cook up any more vile, thieving schemes.

Before they go, though, take away every cent they have, and leave their families in the same sad situation that they left all the Enron employees and all of us who are paying energy bills that cannot be believed - as it gets worse.

You know, that "solitary confinement" thing might be a little harsh.

They should be allowed once-a-day conjugal visits from Bluto, the prison sex maniac.

9. Nope
I think divine justice would be for them to clean the bed pans and provide elder care for the elderly consumers and pensioneers they screwed over. Their wealth and holdings should be traced and repo-ed globally and distributed to those they 'caused injurious financial harm.

Why should taxpayers lose any more incarcerating them indefinitely. I'd rather see them help those they hurt. I heard it costs $30.000 to 75,000 bucks a year to incarcerate someone. That's nuts and is more than most of them could possibly earn. Resstitution is far better IMHO.

ps sorry if you misread what I last sent. It wasn't what you thought.

peace

18. Not in this Classist Society
When business runs the government, fraud and conspiracy are considered like jaywalking. A mere inconvenience. No thought about the middle class people that lost their retirements, houses, lives. It's bad enough that Lay and his wife are down to only 2 houses and having to make do on just a few thousand a month.

Those bastards better go to jail. For a LONG time.
