Is Nancy Grace really as stupid as she sounds on TV?
I've been watching Court TV today and her show just came on. Every word out of that woman's mouth is dim witted nonsense. It is like she is actively trying to not understand issues other people bring up.

I normally don't watch her. Is she really that dense?

1. No, she thinks her audience is that dumb.
And they'd pretty much have to be.

2. Not stupid. Evil
She's a former prosecutor who got caught withholding exculpatory evidence from the defense. She has never met an innocent person; if the cops charged him, he's guilty as hell.

5. She singlehandedly makes a mockery of our entire justice system
From wikipedia:

"One of the best examples of Grace commenting on matters sub judice occurred in the Smart case, when suspect Richard Ricci was arrested by police on the basis that he had a criminal record and had worked on the Smarts' home. Grace immediately and repeatedly proclaimed on CourtTV and CNN's Larry King that Ricci "was guilty", although there was little evidence to support this claim. She also suggested publicly that Ricci's girlfriend was involved in the coverup of his alleged crime. Grace continued to malign Ricci, though he has since died.

It was later revealed that Smart was kidnapped by Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Barzee, two individuals with whom Richard Ricci had no connection. Grace has never publicly apologized to Ricci's family, and continued to defend her assumption that he was involved in the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_grace

She's a complete joke. She says "innocent until proven guilty" so sarcastically, it's hard not to vomit your internal organs out. How she managed never to be disbarred is beyond me.

7. Not stupid, evil. She lied to get sympathy and her job. She tells
Edited on Thu May-25-06 02:30 PM by flamin lib
the story of how her fiance was gunned down by a drug crazed hood outside a convenience store over $40.

Actually he was shot by a disgruntled retarded man who had been fired from the fiance's company earlier that day. The shooter shot him as he was getting into his company pickup truck.

This may not be word for word, but it's close enough to give you an idea of her credibility . . .

I rarely watch her but I happened across her show right after the beginning of the year. You could tell she was straining to lose her accent, she might have given up now and is just going with it.

19. She is brilliant at what she does...
And that is the spread of moral panic to the detriment and confusion of her sheeple viewers. I posted a post on the CourtTV message board asking if there was a crime wave, with statistics proving violent crime has plummeted since 1995, and the post disappeared! I guess facts are off topic over there. CNN and CourtTV are owned by Time Warner.

21. I watched Grace for the first time as she interviewed...
Bernhard Goetz (she was filling in for Larry King). What a lightweight - it was painful to watch! She was sooo far out of her league as far as grey matter. Everyone here makes good points. Like her fellow highly paid bloviators, she counts on the ignorance of her audience. (O'Lielly takes it to an art form - with blatant contempt thrown in.) And yes to those who say "evil". Just like the wingnut blowhards, I doubt she believes a fraction of what she spews forth - she does it b/c it's so lucrative. And what IS with the nostrils, annoying voice, and Mary Kay 'do?! (Sorry, but she bugs me to no end!)

I have actually heard her say, on more than one occasion, "For all intensive purposes." Instead of the correct "intents and purposes".

she is a MO - RON!

27. She's given airtime on a major channel and has an audience.
Worse, sheeple don't take her or her show as propaganda, or the one-sided opinions of a rabid talking head, but rather as a "news" show. And we all know, "If its on TV, its true." In 50 years we've gone from Edward R. Murrow & Walter Cronkite to Nancy Grace, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, etal. There is no news anymore. Only infotainment, perky cue card readers (Katie Couric) barking/snarling heads and BushCo propaganda being slopped at us in huge bucketfuls.
