this is my first post here and wish it was about something more uplifting, hope it is but I did it more out of frustration.
So this Alito thing is really buggin me and I thought to send my senator some email.
This is what I wrote to Patty Murray, I probably should have been nicer.:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I voted for you, a Democrat, because I believe Republicanism is what has destroyed our country, then you voted for Roberts. I've lost all hope for the Democrats now but I'm curious if you've learned from your last judicial vote what's really going on now. Why do normal people like me and my friends understand the reality of the situation years in advance yet our elected officials act like they were born yesterday. Are you going to confirm Alito or have you pulled your head out of your ....
Sorry, but I'm angry at my party who seems to have done nothing but roll over for the republicans, so often in fact that it seems choreographed.
So whatcha gonna do? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know if I did any good.

Unemployed tech worker here with a baby on the way.
Just trying to do what I can with what I have, but mainly wanting to build a better future (which looks in peril now) for my child. I can't even begin to put my self in the shoes of families who've lost loved ones cause of der shrub.
Anyway back to the positive, glad this place is here cause I dunno what I'd do with out it. I wish I could donate, but since I can't I'm writing emails! Woo Hoo! And your absolutely right, they DO need to hear this.
Thanks for the shout out and the solidarity. ;o)

3. This is exactly what our Senators |

need to hear--that we are not happy with the roll-over politics they have participated in for the last several years. Murray's sister-in-law is a judge--she (Murray) should know better when it comes to recognizing the importance of SCOTUS appointments.
