Judge who sentenced child rapist to 60-days was appointed by Republican

I've seen our "friends" on some of the conservative websites and media outlets refer to Judge Edward Cashman as a liberal. You know the typical liberal judge who lets criminals off. This is the judge who decided he had had enough of handing out tough sentences and so he sentenced a man who spent four years molesting a little girl a 60-day jail term. Many people of all political stripes were up in arms, but of course the freepers jumped the gun and assumed the judge was some kind of crazy liberal from the socialist state of Vermont. Well, it turns out he had a reputation as a hard-liner and was appointed by Governor Richard Snelling, a Republican.

I commend the judge for believing that a rehab program is a better alternative than prison--but not in a case like this where there was overwhelming evidence that this man molested this child for four years.

It's their sexual preference. I doubt I could be rehabbed to not like women.

I dunno what's up with that, but it certainly seems that when I read a child molestation story, there's always some Repuke Neo-Xtian involved.
