Do the RWers have any reaction, yet, to the Marines massacre and coverup? |

If I had to guess, I'd bet that they'd offer one or more of the following:
1 It's unsubstantiated hearsay 2 It's just a lie propogated by partisan interests 3 It's been taken out of context 4 It was in the heat of battle, so we civilians can't judge it 5 They were acting as they judged appropriate at the time 6 If the marines did it, they must have had a good reason 7 We have to fight them over here so we don't have to fight them here 8 Iraqis have no regard for human life anyway 9 It was a precaution; the dead might have been harboring insurgents 10 The only good raghead is a dead raghead
Any others?

3. You forgot the catch-all |
|
"Obviously, this is a result of the lax moral values started by Clinton when he held office. If it is OK for the commander in Chief to lie about oral sex, then the troops are going to follow his example and commit atrocities..." :eyes:

5. Killing civilians? Us? We'd never do something like that! |
|
We're very careful about how we pick our targets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAKyi4ssWQw&search=iraq%20helicopterSee? Of course....those guys are probably civvies.

6. I'll tell you what they ARE NOT going to do... |
|
They are not going to accuse all GIs of doing it. That is a bandwagon that is too easily jumped on here.
This looks bad and if these Marines did this then they need to face the consequences. It is beneath any uniformed Soldier or Marine to ever be a party to any of this.

8. Does that include the pilots who drop the bombs on civilians? |
|
Of course they don't actually have to see the bodies they produce. They're "just following orders".

flying around looking for buildings full of civilians to bomb and passing up insurgent targets?
Why do you WANT this to happen? You don't appear to be outraged that it is happening. You appear pissed that it is not happening enough and people are not coming forward with it even if they are lying about it like like Jesse MaBeth.

12. I'm pissed because there's an unnecessary war going on. |

And, I'm pissed at the glorification of the military that perpetuates wars.

14. Maybe you could help me understand something... |
|
are the lives of some Iraqis worth more than the lives of other Iraqis? The reason I ask is because you have all of this outrage because the US Military is killing all of these Iraqis. It has become apparent to me that the Iraqis killed by Insurgent car bombs are not worthy of your outrage, since you never even mention them. Why is that?

15. I didn't mention civilians being gunned down in Darfur either. |
|
Or, Chechens being killed by Russian troops. Or, Russian civilians being blown up by Chechens.
So? Do you extrapolate that I'm therefore not outraged by unnecessary violence in those places?
I'm outraged by murderers of any stripe, wearing any uniform, killing because the bosses told them to. Whether the boss is some Mullah, or Priest, President, or General.

"Dozens of Iraqis killed in Car Bombing" on the Late Breaking News forum, but I see "Americans Targeting Civilians" threads all over the place so I was wondering. You have to bear with me, I am new here.

To: tobyhill Who is this POS officer leaking to the Press. Time to subpeona MSNBC and Murtha and prosecute this bastard instead of the guys in the battle zone
To: pissant I agree and when found they should be tried for treason since they should know that their leak aids the enemy.
To: jazusamo If the Marines did something wrong they should be prosecuted but they are afforded a trial prior to conviction from the likes of Murtha. I'm very offended at the word "murder" being floated around as it's fact when any charges could vary from nothing to reckless endangerment to murder but who knows and who gives the MSM and Murtha the right to just throw that around?
To: tobyhill Official: Marines could be charged with murder Yeah, and they "could be charged" with littering, too. What nonsense this un-named source B.S. is becoming; nothing more than lame-stream Liberal propoganda,as usual, to incite their moonbat base.
get the jist of it?

18. They were accusing Murtha of being out of his mind |
|
a few weeks ago when he was discussing this case. Yup, out of HIS mind. Geez. Wingnuts define their own reality, and it is not a place where the rest of us live, or the rest of the world lives, for that matter. It's like the Montana militia's of the 1980's have taken over the reigns of power, or at least FOX News.
