The "false alarm" today at the capitol was caused by a Republican.
This just shows how much of cowards and chickenshits these republicans are. Had this guy served, or even ever fired a gun, maybe he'd know what real gunfire sounds like...

2. Well, you don't see the silver lining to this cloud like this Saxton clown
does. Gave the DC police some practice, let them 'shine'.

20. Boo!
...that's about what it takes for most repukes to lose bowel and bladder control. This afternoon I bought a large bag of balloons, a hat-pin, a ticket to DC, and 10,000 shares of Fruit-of-the-Loom. I expect to be a rich man by sometime next week.

14. It's pretty funny....
Originally she said it lapsed (she went diving for dipshits at someplace called the Hallelujahland Ranch a couple weekends ago), but then it turned out she never had one...so when she was running around with a pistol she was doing so illegally.

http://www.sptimes.com/2006/05/12/State/Harris_aims_to_renew_.shtml

The photo-op itself was a hilarious fiasco--her chief of staff and the local GOP chief had a public argument about whether the press would get to photograph Harris shooting her gun. Her staffer won the argument, the press was barred from taking pictures...and then Harris complained publicly to the assembled reporters that they hadn't taken her picture while she was shooting.

8. That's Because Republican Congresspeople Are
pussies and cowards.

If they weren't, they would've stood up to bushco by now. But they are too cowardly to do so. Not a surprise to me at all one ran alllllll the way back to his office because he heard a wittle noise.

27. Thank you kestrel.
Made my night. I know, I need to get a life other than protest and political talk!

It's just too early/late to stomp politicians this morning/week, metaphorically speaking of course.

The Golden Rule works and as "Christians" they were raised hearing it.

Karma is.

16. OK I am totally clueless when it comes to guns...
Never owned one, only shot one once when I was 10 (a .22) with my Grandfather. Have heard shotguns go off before when I lived in the boonies during hunting season. And, I've heard the sound of those pneumatic air nailer and it TOTALLY does not sound like gunfire.
What a chickenshit.

28. Some info on him from Wikipedia
<snip>
"In the US House election, 2006, Saxton is being challenged by Democrat Richard Sexton. Recently Saxton donated to charity thousands of dollars in campaign contributions made by lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

In 1996, Representative Saxton was reportedly arrested fo sexual assault on a minor, which was later expunged. (why am I not surprised?)

Political Positions
Saxton is strongly conservative. He has voted to ban abortion, stem cell research, and gay marriage; he's additionally voted against campaign finance reform, gun control and gay adoption. He supports free trade and voted for CAFTA, the Flag Desecration Amendment, and supports aggressive foreign policy, having voted for the Iraq War Resolution in 2003. He supports the privatization of social security and school vouchers, as well as ending the Department of Education"
