Check out this revealing pic of Mr. Sincerity.

Did you buy Bush's performance last night?

Richard Wolffe from Newsweek, joined Keith Olbermann and says that Bush's more realistic tone and mannerisms seemed rehearsed.

Wolffe: ..And for me the big giveaway was at the end of that answer, I don't know if you can see it on camera, but the President flashed a big grin to those of us sitting in the front rows. It didn't seem that he was quite as contrite as his performance.

Scumbag.

1. I missed it when it happened...
I can stand to listen to him or watch him only if I partially tune him out. I have seen that little smirk before, when he is lying or IMO what is a well rehersed act.

scumbag is right.

DO YOU SUFFER FROM B.I.T.S.?
(Bush-Induced Tourrette's Syndrome)

? Do you yell and scream at the television whenever President Bush gives a speech?
? Has your use of profanity increased dramatically over the past five years?
? Have you made up new curse words because the old ones just don't cut it anymore?
? Have you nursed a hangover because you used a republican speech to play a drinking game and the "trigger" word (WMDs, 9/11, terrorists) was repeated more than a dozen times in less than 15 minutes?

I wonder how many radios and televisions have been smashed because of that excrement?

Job opportunities in tv and radio repair must have spiked after 2000.

6. He has an infinite number of crimes to apologize for,
but feigned a sort of detached contrition, and he thought that he had just put one over on the world.

Without a soul, he rots away.

7. Watching his face
There isn't any act of base depravity this smirking little weevel isn't capable of. He's the pus sack at the head of a festering boil. Not a ray of decency has ever penetrated his putrid skull. His head is full of maggots. A modern Caligula who is feeding civilization to the lions.

17. Shame on anyone who continues to support this deliberate clownishness.
The picture tells the story, the reporter noticing it is devastating.

It's a frat house bit for Bush. At least Tony stays in character.

This is really an amazing piece of history. K&R.

25. Here's the deal: They gave him a script (very brief). He learned his
lines. He delivered his lines.

He DIDN'T do such a good job of actually elaborating on his mistakes, because he is not actually sorry for anything at all. He just SAID THE WORDS he was supposed to say.

And WTF was that CRAP about he just needed to be more dignified or professional or whatever in the way he said what he said, rather than truly regretting his entire MINDSET when he said what he was apologizing for? He's not sorry for ANYTHING. The look on his face really shows it, too.

26. Media witness
There was an entire room full of media from all over the world who witnessed this. THEY KNOW. So where's the reporting on this aspect of the story. All I heard from Bob Schieffer that night was that "the president displayed an unusual burst of candor."

This was the Steven King moment of holding up the baby as a shield, but this time there was no coverage.

32. Revealing picture
If I didn't already know how evil he is, this would help me to make up my mind I believe.

Maybe after this is shown around a little his approval ratings might dip another point or two.

Anyhow, I didn't think that his speech was as contrite as some people think. He said that Abu Ghraib was a big mistake, but how many people noticed that he didn't admit that he had any role in it?

33. "How many people noticed that he didn't admit that he had any role in it?"
Important point! And not many, I'm afraid.

All he seemed to apologize for doing personally, was "tough talk".
Yeah, *that* was what killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

No soul, no conscience. He is truly evil.
I hope as many people as possible see this photo.
