the ADS the ADS
Proud Republicans

Buy Ann Coulters book

How to become a minister

ARRRRCGH

it makes the forum look foolish.

ok, I just had to post a sort of disclaimer

and I don't want to get a firefox program
just to deal with the DU ads

1. I don't agree that it makes the forum look foolish.
First, I hardly notice the ads.

Second, how does Ann Coulter's book being advertised make the forum look foolish? I've see people post excerpts from Coulter and other neo-cons on the forum. It's sort of a know your enemy thing.

The "Proud Republicans" thing is hilariously stupid.

4. but do we want to be advertising those things?
new people or infrequent lurkers come to DU to check it out,
having those links sends a real mixed message.

plus I have a thing about ads that are not prominently displayed
as such. looks like a serious link, or part of the discussion.

Two ads for Bob Dylan products, Lenny Kravitz songs, and a rally to stop the genocide in Darfur...?

And make cash for DU at the same time.

Perfect.

7. I have
spam in my email. I have spyware on my computer slowing everything down. I have a virus infection and I use IE but I don't want to use any programs to rid this garbage. I am happy just to sit and bitch which makes as much sense.
