First of all, I never bought the neocon's claim of the need to fight a global war on terror. I first heard of global warming in the 80's from a piece done by no other than Carl Sagan. So this poll was a no-brainer for me anyway.

3. At my age terrorism is old hat.

It has a history of a way to try and get what you want. It is not going to go away but world getting warmer will really do some hurts to the world and the people. If I recall right my ancestors were also classed as terrorists by the Brits, as they went after the gov. in a war like way. Many shot from behind trees, did not have uniforms and raided places that had British arms. I guess we could say that the winners end up saying only their ideals were really right. Lenin also justified what his men did. I of course think my ancestors were really the right ones.

9. Other - Fascism, oligarchy & economic collapse.

Global warming may well have dire consequences, but their severity & time frame can only be guessed at, and people are remarkably good at adapting. If we don't adapt, nature will restore the earth to equilibrium when we are all gone.

But in our lifetimes, definitely global police state, race to the bottom, etc. are much more terrifying to me.
