It is time. I pledge to remove all of the following words from my vocab
Hello, Hey, Hey there, Hi, How are you? Good morning. Good evening. Good afternoon. Good night. Good to see you. What's up? Goodbye. See you later. See you around. See you tomorrow. Take care.

Hellos & goodbyes can all be replaced by "Peace."

The re-emergence of this greeting and blessing are long overdue. A smile, saying "peace" and the sign make up the complete package.

When Neil Young's "Living With War" came out, I felt relief that others were living with this war in their hearts everyday, too. Now it is time to show people everywhere - in our neighborhoods, schools, churches, offices, and beyond - that we are living with war and that we want peace.

Peace = Support the Troops = Peace.

I started transitioning to saying "Peace" a few days back. I practiced while walking my dogs. On a scale of social discomfort ranging from 0-10 how uncomfortable was I? About a 7.

What reactions have I gotten in my red state? Mostly looks of surprise with smiles. Several looks of disapproval (especially from my career-military neighbor who served in Saudi Arabia in the 90's and who says the war in Iraq is justified because "oil is important").

I got one peace sign back in greeting from a 'punk' teenager... ;)

HEY - this might catch on....

Peace.

Peace.

Peace.

Do YOU say peace? Sign peace? Are you willing to try it?

We need a change in consciousness of this nation. Of couse, a majority are against *this* war. How many are for peace? How many believe that we can have perpetual peace without war?

Perpetual war for perpetual peace? - or just - Peace.

Peace.

Peace.

Peace.

Post more pics if you've got'em!

8. My new ringtone on my wireless phone is "Give Peace A Chance"
and my 13 year old son liked it so much...he also downloaded it. I LOVE your idea. I LOVE the PEACE sign and everything it says and stands for. I have a Peace sign decal on my car and I fly a Peace flag everyday. I wear Peace sign tie dye t-shirts and I shall start flashing the Peace sign in greeting people. Great idea! I'm an old hippie so this just brings back so many memories.:hippie: Peace!

10. My son uses it all the time
On this memorial day our pastor told us to not just remember those who died in service to our country, but DO SOMETHING to honor their sacrifice. This greeting will remind me every time I say it to keep doing things to bring an end to this unjust war, and to help others see that war is not the answer. We must find other ways to get along in this world.

11. Perfect- Jackson Browne's lyric that said:
"..maybe people only ask you "how you're doin,"
cause it's easier, than lettin' on how little they could care-
But when you know you've got a real friend somewhere,
suddenly all the others, are so much easier to bear..."

That refrain has sung in my brain countless times throughout life-
Never more appropriate than now-

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with each one of us-

thank you, for this encouragement-

Peace, begins within-
Starting here, starting now-

peace- to you- to all

blu-

I am not only going to greet people like that but I am going to put a peace sign on my face as well. That way even if I am not interacting with someone, they may still see it. It will be great going through grocery stores, etc.......

Peace!
