Impeaching and trying Bush adminstration only way to support troops

I went to a memorial day service, today. And, it was heart-breaking how divorced the pretty words honoring vets are comparitively to the reality of how we treat them in every day life.

Bush will place a wreath on a soldiers grave, today. He will then use that tragic soldier's life as a political propaganda tool to show his committment to the troops.

Bush doesn't honor any soldier. He has committed treason against them all.

He deliberately lied to place them in harm's way. He started a disaster of a war that never needed to be fought. Then, he wrecklessly implemented a 'strategy' that left them under manned and under-equipped. He conducted a war like he was playing with lead toy soldiers.

If America truly wanted to honor its troops, it would remove the entire Bush adminstration from office. We would tell our troops that never again will we tolerate a dishonest and war profiteering adminstration to use them as pawns in a game of global domination. We would tell them we value their service too much for it ever to be abused. And, then we would provide as a community a healing place for them to come how to....

Speeches and pretty cermemony are useless without a true committment to our troops.

We need to have a national dialogue about what our country has come to stand for against what we WANT it to stand for...And, then truly reconcile the difference.

1. They honored us by stealing our records and passing them out to
thieves! And now they want us to pay to fix the blunder. That is what you get when your Supreme Court sElects an AWOL Dictator! The Filthy Five on the SCOTUS flushed democracy on 12/12/2000! None of the five EVER fought for our freedom and liberty that they threw away that day. Easy Come Easy Go is the way the GOP sees it!

2. war crimes prosecution of Bush and his cronies is issue number one...
...for me now. I will never have faith in American gov't until it lives up to its responsibility to try and imprison Bush.

3. Can it be practical though?
I agree the whole administration should be removed from office but I'm not sure how we'd go about doing that. Nixon never could have fallen if a lot of repubs hadn't joined the effort as well. We don't have that today and the media doesn't seem like they'd be any help to bring pressure to bear. I'm afraid all we'd accomplish is to make some noise, noise that could be used against us.

We might yet see them punished though. Instead of going straight to impeachment we need to use the power of whatever seats we win to open real investigations with real oversight, see if we can't find out what's really been going on over recent years. As we build a case maybe we'll get the support we'd need before he's out of office, if not there's always the possibility at least of a criminal trial, here or international.

I do want to see things set right, I'm just not sure if going for it before we've got the support and evidence we'll need is a good idea. We've had no oversight to speak of so far, get that then see where we stand. Move too soon and we'll fight over the process instead of the evidence.
