She's a very good progressive, hard working, and tough. She is a single mother of Arab descent. She's not a member of the landed gentry, she lives in a modest home in a middle class neighborhood. She has been very supportive of the working poor.

2. Our city charter forbids party affiliation, or donations from

parties in the mayoral race. The last election the Republicans pumped a bunch of money into Teresa's opponent's campaign, in violation of the city charter. Fortunately, money didn't carry the day, a good candidate and grassroots organizing carried the day.
