Pentagon chief 'wasted US lives in Iraq'

Washington: A senior American general who served as a combat commander in Iraq has accused the Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, of squandering the lives of United States soldiers by ignoring military advice on how to conduct the campaign.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Major General John Batiste, who resigned last year after 12 months stationed in Iraq's Sunni Triangle, said the Pentagon chief had caused "unnecessary deaths" by committing "strategic blunders of enormous magnitude".

1. The problem with Bush
is that he confuses stubborness with strength. He will squander lives endlessly rather than do the right thing--admit he was wrong and leave Iraq. Admitting you're wrong and changing course takes a lot of strength and courage; something he is short on. I think he cares more for his black dog than he does the lives of the poor kids he has sent over to Iraq.

4. The reality is that in America human life is cheap
American life is so cheap that American's don't even show the "funerals" of the dead solders that have died in Iraq. And the American people do not DEMAND the the news media that use the American peoples air ways show the funerals of the fallen solders because the American people have been brain washed to believe that the public airwaves are owned by corporations that do not do what the majority of American people desire.

5. It's like Barbara Bush statement about not thinking about those things
Until it hits Americans personally, many prefer keeping their minds in the sand, on this one.
