A must read: Iraq is the Republic of Fear |
|
With the recent news of the atrocities of Haditha, we have been exposed to the horror that this war (as all wars) create. This article in the Washington Post on Sunday relays the truth of the Iraq situtaion in a brutal manner. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/26/AR2006052601578.htmlIt is hard to read. But, it is a must read.

1. Oh. my. God. We've GOT to get out of there! |

This thing has taken on a life of its own, and I will not stand having our military be just "one more militia" in Baghdad, and help Shiites carry out their death squads. Good God almighty -- read this, and then read what * is saying, which is apparently about a completely different war. And, you know what's the worst -- the Iraqi people are such a warm people with a great sense of humor, but now all we hear of them is brutality, murder, torture, and fear. That article breaks my heart.

This country was not a real country anymore than Yugoslavia was a real country.
Like Viet Nam, this war is unwinnable.
