60 Second Man alert - on MSNBC now |
|
About civilian patrols on the border.
Guy talking about walking on the streets of Tombstone, AZ carrying a sidearm and how proud that makes him feel. :wtf:
Now they are showing a guy with a bullet proof vest under his t-shirt ? ! ?
Talking about willing to die for their country to control immigration.

1. Lady living on border says she is living under siege |
|
and she now carries a gun everywhere she goes.
Huh? The immigrants are armed? Funny she doesn't mention that.

8. They could use some risks |
|
A couple of them look like the only exercise they get is from tipping that beer can up to their mouth.

Right after 9/11 we had some gomer patrolling our little rural neighborhood. He was driving around in his little ATV with a big gun strapped across his chest like an 80 year old Rambo. He parked down the block from me so I stopped and asked him what in the hell he thought he was doing. He was protecting our neighborhood from the terrorists! (in KANSAS!) I went home, called the sheriff and never saw him again. I wonder what he would have thought about my dark skinned, bearded husband? I was worried sick he would plug him driving home.
So this lady feels under siege by who? The immigrants or the local "soldiers" of freedom? Don't answer, I can unfortunately guess.

12. While I can understand the discomfort |
|
of having people walk across your ranch they need to figure out just who to blame. Do they never stop to wonder why and how difficult this must be for the people doing the crossing? Do they just think they are doing it to spite them and take away from them? My mind just spins that people can be so self centered and incurious.

14. She would have a point if these migrants were dangerous |
|
or threatening her. But her own videotape shows them just walking across her land.
Reminds me of that story where the guy shot the neighoborhood kid for playing in his yard. sheesh

6. Why aren't these numbnutz patrolling the Canadian border? |
|
There are no known instances of terr'ists entering the US from Mexico. However, there was one who was arrested near Seattle after he came in from Vancouver, the guy who was planning to blow up LAX. It would be much easier to come in from Canada, so why aren't the Minute (syn.: tiny) Men up there, slogging through swamps and fighting off mosquitos, watching for Al Qaeda?
Could it be that they just don't like them Mes'kins?
Could it be that they are mostly racist assholes who would rather not wear pointy white hoods in the hot sun and are looking for a way to make their bigotry seem respectable, even patriotic?

Edited on Mon May-29-06 11:24 PM by Oak2004
(N. Vermont), just not many of them.
Given how intertwined N. VT and S. QC can be, they'll have a hard time maintaining border purity. I have no idea what the tiny men are watching for here-- dark-skinned Canadians with Mexican accents?

7. I don't know what it's like at the border with these thugs. |
|
I can tell you that they are here in Phoenix. I've seen them at anti-immigration protests with their side-arms, protecting our American way of life. I've seen them getting into their 4x4 trucks with anti-immigrant bumper stickers on them. My guess is that they are protecting our borders on the way to a monster truck show or something.
