I blame all this Sh*t
On two people, and one party.

The party. The entire Republican party, but that's easy.

The rest of this sh*t (damn near everything in this country that has happened politically since 2000) I blame on Joe Liberman and Ralph Nader.

My own personal opinion. And for the record, writing on DU will probably be the only way to realease all this pent up anger. So I'll proceed.

Why the Hell did Gore pick Lieberman. A person so lacking in confidence that he ran his senate campaign while running for Vice President. A person running for the second highest office in the land should be willing to put it all on the line (ala John Edwards)or not take the offer in the first place. That was a loser mentality. Not to mention all the softballs in the vice presidential debate. Why put a guy on the ticket who seemed to be more pro-republican than Democrat.

Second, had Nader not been an egotistical manic and not put his name on the ballot in florida, giving people a false sense of added choice, then all this goddam bullshit I've witnessed would have just been a bad nightmare.

Anyhow, just who in the F8cke is running the democratic party these days anyway. Had George Bush been a Democrat, the republicans in power (who know what their doing strategically at least) would have inpeached his ass three months into the Presidency.

*end rant*

4. Well said EricWhitaker.....
Rant on....Rant on....the truth is a bitch isn't it....

You are right * (I don't say his name) the man standing in as President...would have been impeached...

I hope in November we get some of the military folks that are running for Congress and the Senate...they have the backbone and the fortitude to push for impeachment....I don't why they Dems are afraid to say it....

Welcome to DU:hi:

5. You're wrong about Florida
Nader wasn't the one who tipped it. Gore would have won FL if elections supervisor Katherine Harris hadn't scrubbed thousands of alleged felons from the election rolls -- mostly African Americans whose only crime was having names similar to felons. Other dirty GOP tricks took place as well. Please see the Election Reform forum for more info.

7. Thank You
for the welcome and the cold one.

Well imagine my surprise to find out that all this time I've lived in a country that Stopped being able to call a Spade a Spade in 1999.

Suddenly I no longer lived in the United States of America. A freedomloving nation full of free-spirits and rebellious non-confromists and anarchists. Suddenly, circa 1999, I found myself linving in F*cking Candyland....with little ice princesses and lolipop sundays....
